Hello 160s.....

I didn't think it would happen this week, but it did...

I weighed in this morning at 169.2 lbs - the first time I have been in the 160s in just over a year! I'm super excited, especially considering the fact that I literally ate my weight in tortilla chips on Friday and Saturday! It all started last Wednesday when I read the New York Times article about the hunt for the perfect Tex-Mex food. I miss Tex-Mex like you would not believe, so all I could think about was delicious chips and salsa, enchiladas, and margaritas. On Friday night, I had to fill my craving so we went to this Mexican place Frank & Fino's Cucina by our house and Carlo and I were like two fat pigs who hadn't seen food in days. It was fairly gross, but god, those chips and salsa were SO good.

Our Mexican food gorge continued purely by accident the following day. Mike came over to watch the UT game and we started talking about all of the yummy restaurants in Austin and what we wished we could eat right then. Well before you know it, we were sitting at Agave at half time devouring more chips!

I tried to count how many points all the chips equaled and it was something like 70 points for both meals! 3 points for 12 chips is pretty bad trade off and seriously, who can stop at just 12 chips?

So I'm pretty ecstatic that I lost any weight this week, let alone 1.4 lbs to bring my 3 week WW total to 5.8 lbs! This good result has definitely motivated me to keep on counting points and being accountable for everything I put in my mouth, even if sometimes I'm embarrassed by how many points I can consume in one sitting!

My only concern is whether this good run with the weight loss is actually just muscle turning into fat :(

Congrats again! You've almost inspired me to start counting points.

Wow! I wish I was where you are! Major congratulations.

Like Bethany said, I'm starting to think that if I actually counted my points I might make some progress. Hmmm... novel idea.

As much as it saddens me to say this, counting points works. i wish that weight loss were easier, but it isn't.
