I never got round to posting about my weigh in, but I lost 0.8 lbs last week. Hardly anything to celebrate, but considering I murdered the hell out of some chicken fried steak on Sunday brunch, I can't really complain that my weight loss wasn't higher.
I was in fact doing awesome while Carlo was in London, but upon his return, we started eating out a lot and we do have all of that wine that we got on our trip to Russian River Valley just begging to be drunk!
I find it fairly easy to stay on target during the week, but come the weekend and my eating schedule becomes erratic, I just tend to pig out. Does anyone have any suggestions of how they keep their diet in check during the weekend while still going out and maintaining somewhat of a social life?
I don't want to not be able to go out to eat on the weekends, but then again, I don't want to stay fat either. It always seems like eating out is my Achilles heel and I can never say no to just one more tortilla chip or slice of bread.

You should try entertaining at home every once in a while so you can really monitor your food. If you cook something yummy and healthy there are points left for wine :)
That's what we've been doing recently...we also don't need a baby sitter for nights in!
Any small amount of weight loss is better than gaining!
Mum
Your Mom is right...besides, I made you eat dinner twice and you still managed to lose weight!
OMG, you have to check out this site:

Tons of great WW-friendly recipes.
alex, i do the exact same thing. i've started believing that the single reason i'm overweight is the tortilla chip. damn the tortilla chip!
one thing i've been trying is to make sure i exercise both saturday and sunday, with my day off being thursday instead of a weekend day. at least if i exercise, i'm a little less likely to wipe out the benefits with a humongous high-calorie meal.
oh-back to the tortilla chip- is anyone on WW actually able to eat just 12 and count 3 points? i feel like i should be able to do this but i just never can...
congrats on the .8 lbs- your mom is right- any loss is great!
becca
smart suggestions thanks! i especially like becca's suggestion about exercising both saturday and sunday and having an off day be during the week. nice.
as for eating something yummy and healthy at home, we do that 5 nights a week already and it gets a bit boring. plus we have too many visitors come in town to not be able to eat out, i just must exercise some greater self control!
