The last couple of days didn't go too well. Tuesday night was the Wolfgang Puck restaurant opening where I consumed vast quantities of delicious Cotes du Rhone wine and more steak tartare than is probably good for me. Wednesday was Carlo's birthday and dinner at Lotus of Siam. Yesterday I did okay. Today we are eating lots of carbs for the half marathon that Carlo and I are running tomorrow to celebrate his 30th birthday and entering into the 30-34 age group.
I have been really bad about exercising this week and the snooze button has continued to win. I meant to get up this morning and run to prepare, or at least pretend to prepare, for the race tomorrow. I hope I don't die tomorrow. I told Carlo that we need to figure out where we are going to eat after the race, since that seemed to work so well last month in Austin :)
I'm looking forward to doing this half marathon tomorrow and then begin training properly for the San Francisco half marathon in August before the wedding. I also signed up for the lottery for the Nike Women's Marathon in San Francisco in October. I should find out by the end of the month if I get in. Fingers crossed, it would be great to train for a full marathon this year and run a faster time than my first marathon in Austin last year.
